In the heat of the 2016 elections, much was said about the impact vote fraud may have on the outcome of the presidential election, but the last-minute surprises across the state of North Carolina triggered several questions about illegal voting.

The purpose of this site is to propose research methods and to empower concerned citizens (in North Carolina and beyond) to investigate the fidelity of their state’s election laws and to offer suggestions on how to promote both open and honest elections.

Our first project involves confirming the residency of persons who, for a variety of reasons, registered to vote using Same-Day Registration (SDR), a process whereby the voter registers and votes all at the same time. If you want to learn more about how you can help with this research, please read the research design page (by clicking here).
